About Us
A little about me
My name is Janal (Manfredonia) Maggard.
I am a proud Mom to 8 human children, a Grammy to 5 amazing grand babies and proud Packleader to many adorable furry Pets. We live on a large farm in Bristol Virginia.
I have been raising puppies (on & off) since 2001. I have many wonderful references and always willing to give those out. All of my animals are very well loved, spoiled and cared for.
I do follow the Puppy Culture Program, with a twist to what has always been successful for me and also techniques that my husband has taught me as a Master Dog Handler.
We are an animal loving family and enjoy having and raising several different types of animals. Including cows, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys and chickens.
My husband is a former K9 handler with the Virginia State Police.
He has over 30 years experience and has trained many types of dogs. Including obedience, search/rescue, hunting, herding and many other purposes.
He has been the best mentor I could ask for.
For many years he focused on Border Collies that herd sheep, cows and geese.
He also trained and sold Goose dogs.
He has several working Goose dogs at Golf courses, Farms, National monuments, International Airports and 2 in Hawaii working for the Marines. For the past 4+ years his passion has switched to help Pet owners by adding Board & Train.

About our Program
All my Parent dogs are Health tested, unless they are a puppy I hand raised, kept back to continue with my genetics and know they are from Genetically Health tested Parents. My puppies come with a Two Year Genetic Health Guarantee, which can be found here:

My heart and focus since 2015 has been Poodles and Doodles. Some whom have been trained for Service, for Therapy, in Shed Antler hunting and potential Goosedogs. In 2022, I started doing research on adding another breed that would be non-shedding, hyper-allergenic and also be in the mini group. I am very happy to say that all led me to my additions of Mini Schnauzers!!! Super excited to share this adventure with my families!
The Puppies I am raising make a loyal and loving playmate.
The fact that they are low-to non-shedding and less reactive for allergy sufferers makes them all the easier to live with and enjoy!
Due to their high intelligence and emotional sensitivity, they have the capacity to become an even greater asset to their families and communities, esp in times of distress.
They are highly trainable, great with kids, laid back, good natured, loyal, a great watch dog, smart, alert, social, gentle, affectionate and very friendly.
While they are great for an active outdoor family, they also have a great off switch in the house (if taught indoor manners).
How we raise our Puppies
From the moment our puppies are born, they are hand-raised with love and care every single day. These babies are not just “puppies to us” — they are cherished family members until the day they go to their forever homes.
